Hello, my name is Ilona - welcome to our exclusive collection of old-world hand knits.

I learned to knit when I was four years old — during the ravages of war in my native Poland. Lost were lives, cities... and children's toys.

My mother knitted me a woolen doll, and my love of knitting was born. That was a long time ago, and times have changed.

Hi, I am Glenda. When I retired two years ago, one of my goals was to use up my closet full of fabric, my boxes full of yarn and my drawer full of beads.

Well, you know what? It hasn't happened. In fact, I now have more!

We met at the Needle Cottage, a local yarn shop. After a few hours of having fun and talking about knitting, we decided to make it happen — to create a store on the Internet, make a living this way and share the fun.

We hope you'll appreciate our hand knits as much as we enjoy creating them.
